CarolinaPower’s Cordiro Harrison Shares Industry Insight at L2IC Panel Discussion Event

We are proud to recognize Cordiro Harrison, Project Manager at CarolinaPower, Inc., for representing CarolinaPower as a panelist at the Lexington School District Two Innovation Center (L2IC) Industry Panel on August 26, 2026.

Located in Cayce, SC, L2IC is a career and technical education and workforce development center focused on preparing students for the opportunities and demands of today’s workforce. To help educators and administrators stay informed about the rapidly evolving job market, L2IC hosted an Industry Panel featuring professionals from the manufacturing, electric vehicle, energy, and commercial industries.

The panel provided an opportunity for industry leaders to share firsthand insights into the workforce, discuss what companies are looking for in future employees, and highlight internship and career opportunities available to students.

As a panelist, Cordiro shared his experience and perspective from the electrical construction industry, emphasizing the importance of preparing students for success beyond the classroom. He encouraged students to approach interviews with confidence by making eye contact, communicating effectively, and being prepared to explain what interests them about their chosen industry.

For Cordiro, his passion for helping the next generation stems from his own career journey stating, “I’m passionate about working with the next generation because of my story and how I started out by attending a trade school after high school.”

His experience gives him a unique perspective on the value of career and technical education and the opportunities available within the skilled trades.

Cordiro also highlighted the value of industry panels like L2IC’s, noting that these conversations help educators stay current with changes and needs within the industries they are preparing students to enter. By strengthening the connection between education and industry, educators can better equip students with the knowledge, skills, and confidence they need to become career-ready after graduation.
